Eldat has signed a worldwide non-exclusive distribution agreement with PSC Inc

Last month, Eldat Communication ltd. has signed a worldwide non-exclusive distribution agreement  with PSC Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of bar code scanners, in which PSC would actively distribute Eldat's fully integrated  Electronic Shelf Labels system.

PSC has also invested 3 million Dollars in Eldat, as a part of a private placement, for a minority stake of Eldat shares.

Since the beginning of 1999, Eldat has received  new orders from chains in Europe, USA and Japan. "In terms of number of new installations, I believe that this year we are going to become the leading ESL company" says Oron Branitzky, Eldat's Vice President for marketing and sales. "We are going to deliver and install 60 to 70 stores this year, more than any other company in this field. "

Nigel P Davis, PSC's vice president for sales in Europe, Middle East and Africa said: "Retailers are implementing Electronic Shelf Labels to provide higher quality and more responsive service to customers, as well as to optimize the management of their stores. We have studied the ESL market for a long time and selected Eldat due to their superior technology and system concept. Adding the advanTAG, Eldat's integrated ESL system to our line of products, would help PSC to provide more comprehensive solutions to our customers."
