A whole region in Leclerc France commits for Eldat
 Paris January 2nd ,2003

Lecasud, a central buying organization formed by owners of Leclerc Hypermarkets in South East France, has decided for a region roll-out with Eldat’s ESL system. The organization comprises 34 Hypermarkets and is known in its tough criteria for selecting partners.

"We are very proud to be selected by Lecasud" says Mr. Jean-Paul Boubal, manager of Eldat Europe. "This decision is coming after six months of comparison with the various ESL suppliers in the French market. It is important to mention that out of the 34 Hypermarkets, 9 are already equipped with ESL systems of various manufacturers; therefore Lecasud had the ability to compare the advantages of the various ESL vendors in the market in depth. We are particularly happy to see that some of those stores have decided to replace their ESL systems and upgrade their stores with our advanTAG system. The Lecasud order would increase our install base in France to over a Million labels, of which most were delivered during the last two years."

"During the past few months, our presence in the French market is getting more dominant" says Mr. Yossi Smoler, Eldat’s president and CEO.  "The independent retailers understand that what is being selected by the leading integrated chains will be a good choice for them as well, and are willing to pay a small premium for a better solution. We have recently increased the number of people in Eldat Europe, and the company is well structured to answer the needs of the challenging projects we are facing today."
