Seven stores will be installed this year, including one of the largest Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) installations in the world, a Hypermarket with about 30,000 labels.

The roll out is an outcome of a successful pilot installation in Poland in one of Jumbo's Hypermarkets, a chain owned by Jeronimo martins.

"We are very proud to be selected by Jeronimo Martins" says Yossi Smoler, Eldat's president & CEO, "It proves the superiority of the comprehensive solution that we offer to our customers. This roll out of Jeronimo Martins, combined with other existing and scheduled installations, demonstrates our fast growing position in Europe".

The electronic shelf labels were specially designed to suit the needs of Jeronimo Martins and to enable the chain to be ready for dual price display in both Euro and local currency.
" We have studied the Electronic Shelf labels market carefully" says Jose Silva Ferreira, IT Director of the Jeronimo Martins group. "By installing Eldat's systems in all our chains we are going to maintain our market leadership & enable our customers to easily get used for the new currency and to feel confident about our prices reliability. In addition, we expect our store operators to use new information tools involved in the ESL system that would enable them to become more efficient and more competitive."
